KIGALI - President Kagame has sent a congratulatory message to the Rwandan Muslim community on the occasion of Idd Ul Fitr. Muslims around the world are today marking the end of Holy month of Ramadhan.
“We join with our Muslim brothers and sisters as they gather together with friends and family for communal prayer and celebration to mark the completion of the Holy month of Ramadhan,” Kagame said in a statement.
The President added: “On this joyous day, we are reminded of the importance of community as well as the values that bind us together as Rwandans.”
Kagame observed that Islam is a religion that preaches harmony and called for all citizens to “cherish the peace and stability that we have built together, continue to work for national and international solidarity, and strive for prosperity for all.”
