CAR Development trophy
Burundi vs Rwanda
Gerald Nsenga, the national rugby team coach has cautioned his players not to be complacent against their Burundian counter-parts when the two sides clash in the return leg of Confederation of African rugby (CAR) development trophy on Saturday in Bujumbura.
Silverbacks won the first leg 12-6, with Fly Half Lucien Bikamba scoring six penalties, but Nsenga does not want his team to go to Bujumbura just to defend their lead, but aim for a win.
He said “I have told the boys not to sit back and defend, but to attack from the start of the game.
“We cannot afford to take this match for granted, because the Burundians have burly forwards who can hurt us any time during the match,” the 32-year-old coach said.
Nsenga also confirmed that every member of the team is fit and raring to go. Silverbacks will play either of Tanzania and Mauritius, if they manage to see off Burundi.
