THE English Football Association has confirmed that they will oversee many footballing aspects so as to elevate African football.
A representative from the English FA, Ritan Mehta said on Thursday that they recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CAF, on co-operation between the two parties on training and development of football in Africa.
“The exchange of expertise will give a huge boost to the federations in different domains like coaching, sports medicine and administration,” Mehta who doubles as a doctor of League Two club, Barnet FC said.
The English FA has been involved in development projects in Africa for many years and they recently renewed their commitment to assist African football. The co-operation agreement will run for a further five years.
According to Mehta, the partnership programmes will assist some associations in upgrading their human resources and help in building a good football structure.
