NPC to mark World Disability Day

THE National Paralympics Committee (NPC) of Rwanda has planned a sports gala today to celebrate the World Disability Day (Paralympic Day) at Amahoro indoor stadium. Games will range from sitting volleyball, standing volleyball, sitball, table tennis, wheel-chair basketball, goal ball (for people with vision impairment) and boccia for people with cerebral palsy.

Games will range from sitting volleyball, standing volleyball, sitball, table tennis, wheel-chair basketball, goal ball (for people with vision impairment) and boccia for people with cerebral palsy.

According to the NPC Secretary General Celestin Nizeyimana, the games have been limited to participants within Kigali.

“We would have loved to involve our colleagues from the country side unfortunately we don’t have the resources to do it,” Nizeyimana said.

World disability day is celebrated every 3rd of December.
