RWAMAGANA - The Eastern Province beat the South 4-0 in a men’s football competition recently. In the women fray, the Southern province still came off second best after a 0-2 defeat against their Eastern Province counterparts.
The on-going tournament, which brings together local leaders in all provinces of the country, aims at promoting good governance.
“Football as a form of competition, too, lays an important foundation to good governance,” Fidel Ndayisaba, the Governor of Eastern Province said.
The Eastern Province is expected to go to the South for a return leg two weeks from today.
