As the Tusker Project Fame musical reality show gets to its final stage, four contestants are set to slug it out on Sunday, October 11, to harvest the shows prize galore that includes Rwf35 million cash award, as well as a recording contract with South Africa’s Gallo Records.

However, before that, Alpha, Nganga, Maureen, Patricia and Caroline, all in this week’s probation parade, will have to garner enough votes to get into the four finalist list that will see them perform come Sunday final show.

The contestant with the least votes is scheduled to leave the stars academy this Saturday.

Following the contestant’s drastic improvement, the winner could be anyone, particularly since these weeks elimination will be based just on the public vote.

The talent battle has been turned into a battle of publicity advertising and nationalism. Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya are now engaged in numerous advertising stunts so as to promote their representative.

At home, the media has been joined by different key leaders to encourage more public voting aimed at ensuring Alpha’s stay in the house this Saturday.

In addition Alpha seems to have lured East Africa to vote for him, A fan facebook account dubbed ‘friends of Alpha’ created by Kenyans has been sending messages to facebookers calling on to them to vote for him.

“Friends, the battle has begun and we have to give this to Alpha. SMS TUSKER 3 to 8737 in Kenya, 7197 in Uganda, 15522 in Tanzania and 123 in Rwanda. Come on East Africa lets unite for Alpha and Rwanda!!!” reads a recent update on friends of Alpha fan page.

For the first time in the Tusker Project Fame’s history, top three finalists will also go home with a recording deal sealed with a Nairobi based production house- Sound Africa.
