Getting past the “friend zone”

So, comrades of the male sex, you have this not-so-bad-looking girl who happens to be your “best friend”, and you’re wondering what the hell to do to get out of the friend zone.

So, comrades of the male sex, you have this not-so-bad-looking girl who happens to be your “best friend”, and you’re wondering what the hell to do to get out of the friend zone.

Who wants platonic relationships when you can go all the way? There are always many questions asked on this topic by guys; many questions about the proper way to approach this situation.

Well, let me tell you now, there is no easy way to deal with this. Neither is there a written script to it. I promise you, it’s like almost anything else in life: You will only get ONE chance to seal the deal, and once that passes, it’s gone forever. It’s DO, or DIE.

The only thing that is guaranteed is that you will get the aforementioned one chance, you just have to be able to recognise it and go for the kill.

Faced with a best friend situation, the first thing every guy thinks is, “Maybe I should just come clean, and tell her how I feel.” Well, tough luck!

Thou shalt not mention it to her in any way, shape, size or form. I’m telling you, once you mention it, you’re cooked. Plain and simple. Chances are that you will tell her this but it’s not going to come off the way you played it in your head over and over. Telling her will most likely give birth to a very awkward situation that will probably ruin the friendship at some point shortly after you tell her how you feel. So, brethren, don’t tell her, as it will end up being such a big mistake.

So what should you do? You need to remember that with women it’s all about feelings. All women care about is how does it feel? Does it feel good? Does it feel comfortable? Does it feel right? They’re all about feelings, which means that you need to make a move. You may even have to go in and kiss her. A girl who is your friend can change her whole perception about you with a kiss that feels right to her.

Remember when we said you would get your one chance? You will get the chance to go in for the kill, you just need to recognise it. If you find her looking into your eyes like she’s waiting for you to do something, that’s your chance.

If you can’t recognise this, then take the blame. If you let the chance pass you, you’re forever in the friend zone. If it seems like it’s the chance, go for it. You only get one shot at this, so you better make it a good one. I can only tell you what to do, I can’t make the move for you. Now it’s up to you to go out there, see the situation, and make the play.
