The Equity Market
Today, the Rwanda OTC Market recorded no transaction.
Wednesday 26th August 2009, on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) a total of 271,500 KCB shares were traded.
KCB shares traded between 21.00 Kshs (Rwf.156) and Kshs 20.75 (Rwf 154) to close at Kshs 20.75 (Rfw 154).
The NSE all share indexes closed -0.68 points down to close at 67.82.
The trading volumes were higher than the previous day; 16,091,500 shares were traded with a turnover of 226,544,825 Kshs on Tuesday while 12,128,200 shares had been traded with a turnover of Kshs 101,193,550 on Monday.
DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange) and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.
The Bond Market:
On the bond market no transactions were recorded. At the close of business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.
There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
