Acne is really one of those irritating skin disorders that make you hate yourself. It ruins your appearance turning that beautiful smile into a permanent scowl until you get rid of it. There’s no way you are going to be radiant with hundreds of spots spread on your face.
Most of us will not hesitate to walk into Nakumatt or any other shopping area and splurge lots of money on the best or recommended acne creams to get rid of the acne, even if we aren’t sure it will work.
Anke Candaele, a beautician at a renowned Soul-Space spa in Nyarutarama, says that that should not necessarily be the case. “One can, instead of using these pricey creams to get rid of acne, make a mask at home. They are easy to make, quite effective and cost less.”
Top beauty website, www.beautyofwoman.com, has some recipes that we can use to make masks at home. The good news is most of these ingredients can be found in our local shopping centers and supermarkets.
Egg yolk mask: It is surely one of the easiest acne treatment methods. You just need to separate egg white from the yolk. Whip the egg whites in a bowl nicely. Wash your face and apply it on your face. Leave the face pack on your face for around 20 minutes and then with warm water wash your face. It will lead to tightening of the skin and also lead to removal of acne and pimples.
Oatmeal mask: This is regarded as an effective acne treatment. You just need to blend some oatmeal and mix water to it. Leave it on the skin till the face pack dries, and then rinse off. It will also help to give you a fair skin apart from helping to get rid of acne.
Strawberry mask: What you need is just fresh strawberries and non flavoured yoghurt in equal quantities. Just mash the strawberries and mix them with the yoghurt to make it into a fine paste. Apply it evenly on your face. Wash after 10 minutes. Do this regularly and over a period of time your acne will disappear.
