Children, sometimes you ask yourselves: “What did I do to deserve this?” “Why does God let these things happen to me?” Here is the explanation to help answer you. Once upon a time, there lived a young girl Daphine. One morning, Daphine tells her mother how everything is going wrong for her. She had failed her math test, her teacher beat her for late coming and her best friend does not want her. In the times so bad, the good mother knows just the thing to help and cheer up her daughter. Her mother knew how Daphine loved cakes so much. So, she suggested, “I will make a delicious cake for you.” Saying so, the mother hugged her daughter and walked straight into the kitchen, while her daughter attempted to smile. While the mother prepared the utensils and ingredients, the daughter sat across the counter waiting eagerly. Her mother asks her politely “Sweetheart would you like a piece of cake?” Daphine quickly replies, “Yes, sure Mom, you know how I love cake!” Funny enough, her mother said, “Alright, drink some of this cooking oil.” Shocked, the daughter responded, “what, no way! why should I do that?” “How about a couple of raw eggs?” the mother asked. To this the Daphine responded angrily, “no way! I can’t do that” “How about some flour if not eggs dear?” said the mother. Daphine still insisted, “No mom, I will be sick!” So, her mother calmly responded, “my dear Daphine, all of these are uncooked and taste bad, but if you put them together, THEY MAKE A VERY DELICIOUS CAKE!!!” Therefore, GOD works the same way. When we ask ourselves why he makes us go through these difficult times, we don’t realize what or where these events lead us to. Only HE knows and HE will not let us fall. We do not need to settle for the raw ingredients like oil, flour or eggs for baking cakes. But we all need to be patient, trust in HIM and see the fantastic thing come about our way. God loves us so much. He even sends us lovely flowers found in the gardens. He makes the sun rise every morning and set in the evening. Did you know that anytime you need to talk, HE is there to listen. He can live anywhere, but He chose to live in your heart! And keep the hope that one day, your day is “a piece of cake” to enjoy.
