Rose Kabuye, The Director of State Protocol who was unfairly arrested in Germany, last month, returned for Christmas.
Kabuye was welcomed by thousands of Rwandans at Kanombe airport on Wednesday, December 24, on Christmas eve. This is because they love her so much.
Finally she was reunited with her family. Kabuye is a mother of two and just like the rest of the country, her family was happy to see her back.
Wednesday November, 19th, the day she was tranfered to France, was made a public holiday in Rwanda. People countrywide protested her arrest.
They wanted to tell the Germans and French who ordered her arrest that she was innocent. I am sure this cry for justice by Rwanda’s people was heard.
Indeed, when she went for trial in France she was granted bail. The lesson we learn here is that when people are united for a common cause that is right, there is success at the end of the road.
Welcome back Rose Kabuye and have a Happy New Year!
