Malnutrition and deficiencies in micro-nutriments remain a major public health problem in Rwanda that is contributing to infant and maternal mortality cases. 

World Vision Rwanda (WVR) a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling poverty and injustice is implementing development programs in over 15 Districts of Rwanda including promotion of adequate nutritional practices.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) in Kigali is contributing to the enhancement of nutrition practices in Rwanda through the funding of a Nutrition Program implemented in eight districts, most affected by chronic malnutrition, poverty and food insecurity. The Nutrition Program is coordinated by UNICEF and implemented by the World Vision Rwanda.
