Rwanda is on track to meeting almost all the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)

The deadline agreed upon by the world leaders at the now famous Millennium Summit in September 2000 for meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) is exactly 18 months away from this month, June 2014. At the incoming September 2014 UN General Assembly, the current crop of the world’s leaders, many of whom were present at the 2000 Millennium Summit, where the MDGs were adopted, and a host of other stake-holders from the public and private sectors as well as civil society organizations, would be presented with the updated balance of scorecard on the progress made globally, regionally and nationally towards the MDGs.
