Schools will start reopening today to a new academic year and the first term packed with various activities including switching back to the English language as the medium of instruction in lower and upper primary. Therefore as the schools reopen, parents, teachers and learners alike will be looking forward to the eventful term. Students and pupils are moving from one level to another and hence early preparation matters to ensure that they are ready for the change ahead. All children should step up and make use of all the unexplored skills they have in reading and writing. The more you read the better it gets. At the end of the day, you build and discover a hobby that is so interesting. Children who read widely have insight on different topics and experiences that are happening around the world. For fun, you can form book clubs. With friends, you can choose a book and start reading it together as you discuss the different plots in the book. If all children made reading a hobby, they would discover new things about everything, your minds would explore what you have never known before and it will be extreme fun. If this happens then young readers would become knowledgeable and better writers of the future.
