Tomorrow, all roads will lead to Kigali Convention Center, as Congolese music superstar, Fally Ipupa, gears for his highly anticipated end-of-year performance at the New Year Countdown concert.

Organised by Rwanda Events Group and Radison Blu, the concert, which happens on the eve of every year, the show is expected to usher Rwandans and revelers from Kigali into the New Year with the venue’s sky set to be covered by fireworks.

Organisers of the annual show told The New Times that preparations are in their last stages and everything is being put in place to put up a successful show.

“We have been planning for this concert for some time so we are ready for our performers. 2020 is special for all Rwandans for obvious reasons, therefore, we want to be part of the celebration as well,” one of the organisers told The New Times.

“Concert goers are definitely in for a surprise. They should expect high-level entertainment that is diverse and we are confident everyone will feel included and celebrated in the range of entertainment provided,” she added.

The Kigali New Year Countdown is establishing itself as the undisputed end-of-year music extravaganza, having attracted African music heavyweights like Nigerian diva Yemi Alade, Kenyan music crew Sauti Sol and Koffi Olomide.
