Jamaica filmmakers, Dave Weeks and Marcia Weeks (left), were all smiles as their film “Barrow Freedom Fighter” scooped the Best Diaspora Documentary. Sam Ngendahimana.

The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) award gala in Kigali on Saturday night saw 27 black films/filmmakers win accolades in various film disciplines.
