Peace Cup holders APR take on La Jeunesse in the last 16 of Peace Cup this afternoon at Kigali Stadium.

The military side has won the competition a record 10 times in 24 years and will be looking to retain the trophy. Although their league form has been poor for their usual standards, they still have a lot in their tank to brush aside the second division side.

“Our league form has not been good but this is a competition that this club takes seriously since it also comes with continental football for the winners,” coach Ljubomir Petrovic said in an interview yesterday.

In other matches today, AS Muhanga host Amagaju, SC Kiyovu play against Bugesera, while Musanze will take on Police FC. The return legs are due April 5-6.

Meanwhile, the Etincelles-Rayon Sports match has been postponed to give the Blues time to prepare for their CAF Confederations Cup tie against Mozambican side CD Costa Do Sol slated for Friday.

The semi-final games of the Peace Cup will be played in late June and the final on July 4.

The eventual winners will represent Rwanda in the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.
