Casa Mbungo made the remarks yesterday ahead of today’s clash against SC Kiyovu in the final match of the 2013/14 Turbo King Football league season.

“We have been doing well and winning our final game against SC Kiyovu will continue to instill confidence in the players.

“I want people to know my team; I want AS Kigali to become like Rayon Sports or APR because we are capable of doing that. AS Kigali is not a punching bag, we are in league to compete and so far we are on the right track of building strong team,”

“It will take us time but we will reach our target. We are building slowly and so far everything seems to be good. We want to become one of best clubs in country, were everyone will fear to face us,” added Casa Mbungo.

Mbungo has high hopes of his club finishing third in this season’s league and as well as retaining the Peace Cup title.

AS Kigali has 47 points in 25 matches played this season. They are four points better than Police who stand fourth in the standings.

The Peace Cup, holders will face league defending champions Rayon Sports in the 1/8th round of the Peace Cup on June 6 with the winner setting up a quarter-final clash against APR.
