TWENTY FIVE local coaches have completed a refreshers’ course aimed at equipping them with new training skills and rules that govern the sport. The two-day training organized by Rwanda Karate Federation (Ferwaka) was held at Amahoro Stadium over the weekend under the tutorship of local karate expert Dieudonne Mwizerwa.
The 25 coaches came from different karate clubs and schools around the country.
Speaking to journalists after the training, the Ferwaka, technical director Guy Rurangayire said that the training will improve a lot on the skills of the coaches.
“All the 25 coaches, who have benefited are all at a good level but we need them to improve on what they already know and also introduce them to new rules,” Rurangayire said, adding that such trainings will be done for all local karate coaches every after three months.
