Editor,

News alleging that the ‘Red Cross volunteers’ buried victims alive at Kabgayi during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda is shocking and a shame to the internationally recognised Red Cross.

Therefore Geneva should apologise to Rwandans for failing to provide humanitarian assistance. The 1994 Genocide has exposed international organisations that, when, Rwanda needed them most, turned their backs against the people in need.

If they had come in time the over a million people would not have been massacred during the state organised and French funded genocide.

The article in The New Times shows that the imperialists had penetrated all humanitarian organisations and at all costs they would defend their puppet government. Kabgayi residents are on record saying people who buried some Rwandans alive were wearing Red Cross uniforms.

Therefore Red Cross has a duty to apologise for taking part in the 1994 Rwanda.
