Police are holding a woman for allegedly killing her 34-year-old husband following a domestic dispute. The incident occurred at the couple’s home in Bukokoza village, Sake Sector of Ngoma District on Tuesday.
The suspect (names withheld) was arrested by the police immediately after allegedly committing the crime.
Area residents said the victim and the suspect were alcoholics, and the two frequently quarreled.

He was rushed to Sangaza Health Centre where he breathed his last.
According to Gilbert Nahimana, a neighbour to the family, the couple never lived in peace, adding that they had been blacklisted among troublesome families by a security meeting in the area.
“The two fought a lot. The woman is said to have killed her first husband under similar circumstances. In fact, the suspect has a history of domestic violence,” he said.
