Local actor Ndjoli Kayitankore, aka Kanyombya is set to launch his latest movie titled, Bwenje Naguhenze in Belgium in November.
Belgine Bizimana, the co-organiser of the launch, told The New Times yesterday that the move is an opportunity for local actors to penetrate the international market.
“I want to give Kanyombya and other artistes a chance to prove to Rwandans in the Diaspora and foreigners that Rwanda’s movie industry is steadily growing and that will be proved at the launch of this movie,” said Bizimana.
Bizimana, a local music artiste, has been touring countries in the region and Belgium where he claims to have established contacts with people both in the music and film industry.
This is the first time Kanyambya will be traveling to Europe.
“I am excited to screen my movie in Belgium and I can promise people there that, Bwenje Naguhenze is a great movie,” said Kanyombya, who also hosts a talk show called, Abalezi Family on City Radio.
Born on November 23, 1962 in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kanyombya has starred in several TV comedy series such as, Ntamunozakanyombya, Ndiho ntariho and Birakureba.
