The former U17 goalkeeper Marcel Nzarora has joined Police FC from league champions Rayon Sports in a two-year deal until the end of 2015.

According to Police FC’s Secretary General CSP Jean Nepo Mbonyumuvunyi, the team signed him from Rayon Sports not La Jeunesse as it had been reported in local media.

“We signed him after he had failed to agree on certain things with La Jeunesse. We have his release letter from Rayon Sports and he has signed for two years,” SCP Mbonyumuvunyi told Saturday Sport.

Sam Ssimbwa’s team has also signed two young players namely; Eric Kimanuka from Sec Academy and Deny Kamanzi from an unnamed side in Uganda. Both are midfielders.

The 18-year-old Nzarora, who was part of Rwanda’s U-17 team that took part in the Fifa World Cup held in Mexico, last year, was not a regular for Rayon Sports last season.

Meanwhile, the team is planning to play two pre-season friendly matches against Uganda Police FC and KCCA between September 1-15 as part of their preparations for the new season which starts on September 21.

Police FC drew 2-2 with Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) FC in their first pre-season match and lost to  Rwanda U20 3-0.
