Refer to the story, “Rwanda misses out on Big Brother Africa” (The New Times, September 2).
The only real question we should be asking here is: What business do our public officials have involving themselves in this trash? Does our country lack so many more important and urgent matters to attend so that senior officials can find the time to concern themselves with this Big Brother business?

Besides the shameful nature of Big Brother Africa, we need to apply some sort of reciprocity as far as visa policies are concerned and, specifically, with South Africa. It still sickens me that decent and respectful Rwandans have to struggle to get the SA visa while a South African suspect would enter our country visa-free with absolutely zero barriers.
What are we still waiting for? Let’s give them a taste of their own medicine.
