IT will be a clash of egos as Rwanda Energy Group (REG) Volleyball Club host defending champions Gisagara Volleyball Club in the second day of the national volleyball league at Amahoro Stadium 7pm.

After two matches played so far, REG lead the table with 6 points, one ahead of second-placed Gisagara while UTB are third with four points.

“We want to keep winning our games to remain on top and it will be the same with Gisagara. We know it will be a tough game, but we have to give our best to win. Also we have another game against IPRC East which is very important for us too,” REG coach Jean Paul Mana said.

However, Fidele Nyirimana’s team who beat REG 3-0 in the final of the Heroes Cup two weeks ago will be seeking to maintain the same spirit, but they will be without their new signing right attacker, Nelson Murangwa who has an injury.

“We are ready and everyone looks fine, we will go into the games looking for wins against IPRC East and REG. We are ready for the challenge ahead of us,” Nyirimana explained.

Early today, the women league will kick off as defending champions, RRA play against St Aloys before meeting rivals APR. In the other game St Aloys will play against APR.
