It’s hard to beat Rayon in 27 minutes, says Mulisa

APR FC head coach Jimmy Mulisa has admitted that it will be hard to beat Rayon Sports in just 27 minutes when the two teams face off  in the Super Cup replay today at Kigali Stadium, Nyamirambo.

 On Saturday, Rayon Sports were leading 2-0 when referee Abdul Twagirumukiza called off the game in the 63rd minute due to power failure at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu.

 “It will be hard to get two goals against Rayon Sports in just 27 minutes when we are one man less, but we are looking forward to give our best to get good results,” Mulisa said.

He added that despite the odds, they will give their best in anticipation of a win.

 However, his counterpart Olivier Karekezi has warned that it is not over yet and will be out to finish the business in the 27 minutes.

 “We need to finish our business, we need to win the match and it is our target. We started well and we must keep our fighting spirit,” Rayon Sports coach Karekezi said.

Before the game was called off, Rayon Sports was leading 2-0, thanks to Ismailla Diarra and Pierrot Kwizera’s goals in the 34th and 62nd minute respectively.

The match shall resume with the same players on the pitch and substitutes as when the match was stopped.

Player, Imran Nshimiyimana who was sent off during the match cannot be replaced and any sanctions imposed before the match was abandoned remain valid for the remainder of the match.

The winner will earn Rwf5 million on top of a trophy and the loser will walk away with nothing.  Both teams received Rwf3m each for the preparations. The opening match of the 2017/18 Azam Rwanda Premier League between Rayon Sports and AS Kigali will be played on September 30.
