The Made-in-Rwanda drive seeks to encourage more Rwandans to consume locally made goods and services. However, the prices on this site are only in US dollars which means that the target customers are only foreigners.
Seems we have lost or are blind to the real essence of “Made-in-Rwanda”.
It is also a bit shortsighted because Rwandans are the major market of Made-in-Rwanda and are the easiest to convince and market to due to the patriotic aspect in the drive, hence losing a lucrative revenue stream.
