RE: “Four arrested in Gatsibo over wetland encroachment” (The New Times, August 11).
Wetlands are vital resources and their benefits are unlimited, especially for us who mostly depend on agriculture. It’s so sad to see that, despite all the government’s efforts of protect the environment, some people still engage in such malpractices, therefore violating the law.
By arresting and further punishing these individuals, the Police are doing a great favour to our future generation.
