A popular female radio presenter, Sandrine Isheja Butera and photojournalist, Plaisir Muzogeye have recently signed a deal to advertise for the leading mobile phone company, Tecno Mobile Rwanda. The deals signed are; advertising the company’s brand new phone ‘Camon CX’ and to promote the campaign that was dubbed ‘Live While Alive Camon CX’. According to Isheja, her deal is to use her photos and that of her baby on photos taken by TecnoCamon CX and post them on her social media platforms. “They (Tecno) came and discussed with my manager and agreed on how all things will be done. The discussions ended up by signing a six-week deal. For me, it is extremely an immense pleasure of how they picked me among many more popular journalists in the country,” she said in an interview with The New Times. She said working with Tecno is a proof of her good performance at her daily job and she is optimistic that from the contract both parties will benefit, particularly, it will help her boost her brand name. Muzogeye’s deal is to work in ‘Live While Alive’ campaign as the brand ambassador. His job is to take good pictures for the company’s activities. “I am also using this new selfie king phone in taking some of these pictures that I am contracted to take” he said. “I’ve highly appreciated this valuable deal because when a company like Tecno thought of individual like me to take pictures for them, it is indeed a vote of confidence,” he said adding that it leaves a good picture for the company and for the photographer himself. He described Tecno as a company that has products that every person would love to brand. He said, through the deal beyond earning money, his career of photojournalism will be highly enhanced and valued, “I must base on this and keep working hard to attract more opportunities,” he said.
