Title hopefuls APR will be looking to dethrone their bitter rivals Police at the summit of the national handball league table when they host University of Rwanda, College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR-CASS) at Kimisagara ground.

The Rwanda Cup title holders are two points adrift of league defending champions Police, who will not be in action this weekend. Victory against UR-CASS, who second from bottom, would APR go top, one point ahead.  Police have 27 points.

“Our ambition is to win all our remaining games,” said APR head coach Anaclet Bagirishya. The military side are bidding for only their second league title since winning the first in 2009.

Before meeting APR, UR-CASS will first play against Nyakabanda, starting at 10am at the same venue. Nyakabanda are seventh with 14 points.
