FERWAFA should not bow to populist pressure

It is very sad that we keep playing the game of sacking coaches and recruiting others. It is sad to see the Ministry of Sports and Culture bow to pressure from local unprofessional journalists who are there to criticise FERWAFA and Ministry.

Editor,

It is very sad that we keep playing the game of sacking coaches and recruiting others. It is sad to see the Ministry of Sports and Culture bow to pressure from local unprofessional journalists who are there to criticise FERWAFA and Ministry.

We sacked Micho and look now at his achievement with Uganda. We lost Ratomir and he took Ghana to the World Cup.

Johnny McKinstry should not be blamed for poor results—we simply don’t have quality players.

We are playing with teams like Ghana which have players across the best teams in Europe whereas we are only relying on locally based inexperienced lads.

One of our strikers (Baby) plays in the 5th league in France and now you claim that the coach is to blame hahaha!

We need professional journalists who are able to do realistic judgment, who know football and who are in position to provide constructive feedback and not just criticising.
