RURA should look into these issues

Editor, It’s been awhile since we’ve had truly bad service from any of the telecommunication companies working in Rwanda. In fact, its been two years since we had such a serious network problem that RURA had to act. Since RURA fined MTN around 70 millions, all telecoms haven’t messed around with our communication.

It’s been awhile since we’ve had truly bad service from any of the telecommunication companies working in Rwanda. In fact, its been two years since we had such a serious network problem that RURA had to act. Since RURA fined MTN around 70 millions, all telecoms haven’t messed around with our communication. They have improved a lot on that side.

I would like to talk about something that is bothering me. I have a problem with some of the promotions going on.

Tigo offered a promotion a while back, where a person bought airtime and got it automatically doubled in the form of a ‘bonus’. We learnt that this promotion was over when, without preamble our ‘bonus’ just disappeared.

It’s now almost two years since Rwandatel started their TSINDIRA House promotion. Up now, people are still sending SMS’s. Just recently we read in The New Times an article quoting the Rwandatel Public Relations Officer, who said that Rwandatel are giving the house soon.

Is this just another story?  Please RURA, make sure that these companies don’t take us for granted.
