Swiss actor, Anatole Taubman’s visit to Rwanda has been postponed to July this year.
In an interview, Misbah Sheikh, the Chief of Communication at UNICEF, said the actor, who was earlier expected to arrive in Rwanda on Sunday April 18, could not make it due to his flight alterations.
This comes after the current ban on air travel in European countries, following the volcanic ash cloud sweeping across Europe from Ice land.
“By Sunday, there were no planes leaving Germany where the actor was because of the bad weather. We decided to extend the visit to July,” she said.
Taubman’s visit to Rwanda will be his first UNICEF humanitarian task since he became the UNICEF Swiss Branch Ambassador.
