The army side, which finished eight points clear of nearest challengers National University of Rwanda (UNR), has brought in two goalkeepers from School of Finance and Banking (SFB) Bosco Gasana and Olivier Rwari, and Anaclet Bagirishya, who plays on the right wing.

APR has bolstered their squad as they plot for an unprecedented third successive handball league title.

The army side, which finished eight points clear of nearest challengers National University of Rwanda (UNR), has brought in two goalkeepers from School of Finance and Banking (SFB) Bosco Gasana and Olivier Rwari, and Anaclet Bagirishya, who plays on the right wing.

While the team has made reinforcements, APR captain Feleste Hakizimana still expects strong competition from UNR.

“We are not going to rest on our laurels because we still expect UNR to come out fighting like they always do,” he said.

The 2010 league throws off next Saturday. Besides APR and UNR, 2007 champions Gicumbi, Police, SFB and Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) are the other sides in contention.

The female league on the other hand pits APAPEKI Cyuru, UNR, St. Joseph Kabgayi and APPEC Remera Rukoma.
