THE construction of the classrooms in Rusizi district has been completed in all the 18 sectors of the district, according to Mayor Fabien Sindayiheba.
“All the 90 classes to be constructed in the whole district have been finished. Studies have already commenced in all the schools where they built those classrooms,”
Sindayiheba told The New Times on Thursday.
He added that they had initially planned to build 84 classrooms but later added six more.
The Mayor hailed local residents in the district for their support towards the construction, appealing to them to maintain their cooperation with the district.
He also called upon teachers, students and residents to maintain the new buildings in their respective schools.
Residents especially parents who spoke to The New Times about the completion of classrooms expressed happiness, saying this would improve their children’s academic standards.
