Women urged on domestic violence

NYAMASHEKE - The Western provincial coordinator of the National Women’s Council (CNF) Emerence Mukankubito, has called upon women in Nyamasheke District to fight domestic violence. Mukankubito made the call while addressing over 250 women who had turned up for the general assembly of the District Women’s Council at St Joseph Secondary School in the district.

NYAMASHEKE - The Western provincial coordinator of the National Women’s Council (CNF) Emerence Mukankubito, has called upon women in Nyamasheke District to fight domestic violence. 

Mukankubito made the call while addressing over 250 women who had turned up for the general assembly of the District Women’s Council at St Joseph Secondary School in the district. 

“I advise my fellow women to continue collaborating with other government authorities in promoting gender balance in the region and work hard in order to bail your selves out of poverty,” Mukankubito urged. 

Jean Baptiste Habyarimana, the Mayor of Nyamasheke, requested participants to embrace family planning in order to control population increase.
