KAMPALA - The Rwandan High Commissioner to Uganda, Maj. Gen. Frank Mugambage, has called upon all Rwandans in Uganda and friends of the country to emulate the good deeds of Rwanda’s heroes who struggled to build a united and peaceful nation that exists today.

He made the call yesterday while addressing journalist at the High Commission as Rwandans celebrated Heroes’ Day.

“This annual event provides a platform for all Rwandans in the country and those in the Diaspora to remember their heroes...it’s also an occasion where Rwandans reflect and evaluate the values of the nation’s heroes and how their heroics have impacted on the society,” said Mugambage.

“We should look back at the great efforts and achievements by our fore fathers and use the opportunity to build on these achievements to ensure a better future for our country”.

Celebrations were marked yesterday under the theme: ‘Let’s be brave in our determination to develop Rwanda.’
