World Cross Country team to be named

RWANDA’s team for this year’s World Cross Country Championship in Poland will be named soon, Times Sport has learnt. The 38th edition is scheduled for March 28 and according to Rwanda Athletics Federation (RAF) technical director, Emmanuel Murenzi, the team will be selected after next month’s Inter-club championship which is expected to attract over 15 clubs.

“Selection will be done after the inter-club championship.”
However, Rwanda’s long distance ace Dieudonné Disi is certain to miss the event as he steps up his preparations for April’s World Marathon in Paris, London or Rotterdam.

Next month, the 29-year-old will run in the Puerto Rico half marathon.
