The programme of reducing poverty cannot be realised without providing the poor with loans that can in turn be used in various ventures which can help to boost their economic status.
This can be achieved through facilitating the poor to get loans without necessarily presenting securities to banks, micro finances or cooperative societies.
If there is need to group members in the cooperative societies first, then the masses should be made aware and facilitated in terms of procedures.
All the hindrances therefore must be eliminated if the Millennium Development Goals are to be registered. Let the masses be taught extensively about the programme.
Any stumbling block towards the path of acquiring the loans should be removed and a proper way of making a follow up on the utilization of the loans be set up.
An evaluation team should be put in place to oversee the success of the programme and iron out areas that have not yet worked as anticipated.
