AS Kigali showed their desire to defend the national women football league title after yesterday’s roaring 12-1 win over Bugesera at Kicuriko artificial turf.

Midfielder Saida Ntagisanimana was the star of the match after scoring four goals. New signing Mefya Hakizimana and Captain Chadia Uwamahirwe netted three each while Claudine Murorunkwere and Esther Amuri grabbed a goal each to seal the city council side’s biggest win in their club history.

In the other games, APR looked rusty after being held to a surprising 1-1 draw by new club GS Remera Rukoma.
Inyemera put two past Ruhango while Rubavu saw off Rambura after a 4-2 victory.

Rayon Sport’s tie against Aspej was postponed due to bad weather.
