Badminton players target 2010 Commonwealth Games

THE newly formed national badminton association has expressed interest in fielding a team at the forthcoming 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India. According to association president Andrew Ndayambaje, with good financial support from the Sports ministry, Rwanda can raise a team for the Games slated to run from October 3 -14.

According to association president Andrew Ndayambaje, with good financial support from the Sports ministry, Rwanda can raise a team for the Games slated to run from October 3 -14.

Other sporting disciplines to be contested in at the Games include swimming, Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Netball, Rugby 7s, Table Tennis and Weightlifting among others.

Currently, there are three clubs; Southern hills, Inyange and Nyarutarama.
