Marines coach unfazed by slow start

MARINES coach Didier Kayigamba is refusing to panic after the club going six consecutive league games without a win or draw. The Rubavu-based side sent shock waves last season when they denied Atraco the chance to retain the league title after holding them to a goalless draw, and that resulted into APR winning their eleventh league title on goal difference.

The club has had a dreadful start to this season after failing to get any point from their six opening fixtures, but coach Kayigamba is confident it is a matter of time before his club start picking up points.

“We have just been unlucky not to win some of these matches, but I have talked to the boys and they know the consequences of losing so many matches in the first half of the season.

“We need to go on a winning run, starting with our next match,” Kayigamba said.

The club will play AS Kigali next week at Kicuriko artificial turf.
