Plans to have a Rwandan diplomatic mission in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, are in advanced stages, Ambassador Eugene Munyakayanza, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told The New Times.
“It is a desire by the government of Rwanda,” Munyakayanza said. “The ministry is now working to implement that.”
Cabinet also approved the opening of a Rwandan embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Apart from other areas of bilateral cooperation, since 2000, the Nigerian government through its health technical support program, Technical Aid Corps (TAC) has been sending medical experts to work as volunteers in Rwanda.
