KCC plan fete for new Miss EAC.

Kigali City Council has organized an event to welcome and congratulate Cynthia Akazuba who emerged the winner of the just-concluded Miss East Africa beauty pageant that took place in Tanzania. The ceremony in which the general public has been invited to participate, will take place at the Nyamirambo Regional Stadium.

Kigali City Council has organized an event to welcome and congratulate Cynthia Akazuba who emerged the winner of the just-concluded Miss East Africa beauty pageant that took place in Tanzania.

The ceremony in which the general public has been invited to participate, will take place at the Nyamirambo Regional Stadium.

“We wish to congratulate Miss Cynthia Akazuba and all those who supported her upon this landmark achievement,” KCC Mayor Aisa Kirabo Kirabo said in a press statement.

“We also wish to recognize the achievements the youth of Rwanda are presently making be it at the national and regional level. Special recognition goes to Alpha who won the Tusker project fame and Grace Bahati who emerged winner in the Miss Rwanda 2009 beauty pageant,” the statement read.

She called upon the youth to always take pride in such achievements and be inspired by doing the best and excelling.

Akazuba beat 14 contestants from other EAC countries to take the crown, which came with a brand new Toyota Celica saloon car.

Rwanda’s second representative Annet Mahoro emerged Miss Popularity of the contest.
