Champions AS Kigali started training yesterday at Regional stadium, but APR coach Egidia Kayitesi thinks two weeks are enough for her club to get match fitness before the league kicks off.

“Most of my players are students and are in holidays, but I told them to train individually during the vacation if they want to keep their places in the squad.

“Besides, I am sure 14 days are enough to have them fully fit for the new season,” Kayitesi said.

APR were piped to last season’s league title by rivals AS Kigali on goal difference.

This year, ten teams are expected to take part and they include AS Kigali, APR, Musanze, Aspej, Bugesera, Rayon Sport, Inyemera, Les Lioness, Rubavu and La Jeunesse.
