NYAMAGABE - Forty-two Cell Executives Secretaries in Nyamagabe district on Wednesday received laptop computers to help them in their office work.
The recipients have electricity connection in their offices – one of the parameters used in selecting the beneficiaries.
The Mayor, Alphonse Munyentwari called upon cell leaders to put the computers to good use.
“With these computers, we expect that the problem of recording and keeping vital data from your cells will be a thing of the past,” he said during a hand over the ceremony.
The local leaders welcomed efforts by the district authorities in easing their daily office work. “With this computer my office work will be a lot easier. I will be able to prepare and send reports on time,” said Phoebe Mukamana.
The district is made of 17 sectors and 92 cells. The Mayor promised the remaining cells computers once they get electricity connection.
The district, due to having made improvements in its service delivery, has been ranked as a top performer in all 30 districts countrywide for the last two consecutive years.
