“Sekajugo Regenerated” to be launched on Thursday

Rwanda’s visual artist Collin Sekajugo is set to launch his solo art exhibition dubbed ‘Sekajugo Regenerated’. The exhibition named after his last name, Sekajugo, will be held at Heaven Restaurant Kiyovu, Kigali, on Thursday October 22, at 6.30pm—and will run through to November 28, 2009.

Rwanda’s visual artist Collin Sekajugo is set to launch his solo art exhibition dubbed ‘Sekajugo Regenerated’.

The exhibition named after his last name, Sekajugo, will be held at Heaven Restaurant Kiyovu, Kigali, on Thursday October 22, at 6.30pm—and will run through to November 28, 2009.

The event will be opened with a traditional dance performance at 18:30, by RwaMakondera Children’s dance troupe.

RwaMakondera is a project from Ivuka Arts Studio, and aims at launching Rwandan art to global heights by bringing Rwanda’s traditional dances to an international audience.

Collin, 27, is the founder of Ivuka Arts Studio and the Rwamakondera children dance group. He has represented Rwanda in various regional and international art exhibitions.
