I shall never get used to the cruel hand of death.
On Monday morning I learnt that Prayer Palace pastor, Jane Kanyange, had died of a brain tumor. I got a little tense because it was a pastor, and church.
The first time I listened to her preaching was last year. I had never heard a person preach with such spiritual energy and humility; she had this discreet flair and generosity which coincide with the message she was preaching that day.
She was a bold and out spoken woman who welcomed everyone to her home regardless of their societal status. Another thing I will never forget was her extraordinary and unwavering integrity she kept even when she faced controversy.
She never gave up on her church, she fought for the spiritual stability and unity of the believers and always gave them confidence and reason to believe that things would only get better.
We shall never forget you Pastor Kanyange, you will always be in our hearts for the children you have mothered spiritually, socially and emotionally, we will always cherish the good times we shared with you until we meet again.
I want to use this opportunity to wish her family, friends and relative, and the entire family of Prayer Palace Church, well. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
