The unruly and unwelcome visitor called diarrhoea

Tuesday;The scriptures say no sin goes unpunished, that for every sin you commit, there is always a payback. Now I wish I had not eaten last night, no. I wish I had not over eaten!

The scriptures say no sin goes unpunished, that for every sin you commit, there is always a payback. Now I wish I had not eaten last night, no. I wish I had not over eaten!

Wednesday;
Yesterday, I had to rush back home from work after four visits to the washrooms, each visit lasting well into half-hour mark, punctuated with sounds that make the army brass band look amateurish.

Thursday;
I now smell flagyl tablets and I can’t wait to get back to normal again. Can’t believe in just three days, I have lost all appetite to the point that water alone tastes like some herbs from a jungle deep in DR Congo.

Friday;
I can finally say it’s over. I don’t want to think of what is the worst disease one can suffer. Diarrhoea is no doubt at the bottom of them all.

Saturday;
Food poisoning is dangerous. But since sometimes one can’t avoid it, my experience with this running stomach has left me pondering a health kit. I now know I need lots of tablets in the home, including flagyl.

Sunday;
According to this doctor, diarrhoea usually clears up without treatment after a few days because your immune system will fight off the infection.

Monday;
While waiting for it to clear, it is important to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. Take small, frequent sips of water. You are more likely to be dehydrated if you are also vomiting. Also consider ORS if you are at risk of dehydration, or antidiarrhoeal drugs to shorten how long it lasts.
