I need a lover, says Princess Priscilla

She is young, devastatingly beautiful and staggeringly talented. In fact, you can call her our own version of international R&B queen, Rihanna.

Princess Priscilla announced her arrival onto the music scene about four years ago with Mbabarira, a local love ballad that made her an instant superstar. She has never looked back.

She has since churned out a couple of popular hits. In Nkeneye Umukuzi, (I Need a Lover), one of her latest songs, Priscilla exudes musical maturity, and her vocal dexterity is also a notch higher. Nkeneye Umukuzi is done in the lovers’ rock genre of music, which makes it more ear-friendly. It is piano-led story of a woman yearning for love, one thing that has for long eluded her.

Priscilla sings in the song: “I need a lover/Someone who knows what he wants/But although I get lonely sometimes, I won’t reach the extent of being too disperate to settle for less…”
